About Us
Orange and District Archers is a Field Archery club located just outside the city of Orange, in central western NSW. Originally Founded in 1975 we are an Incorporated volunteer operated club and a member of the Australian Bowhunters Association (ABA).
The ABA is a national association aimed primarily at promoting and developing the sport of Field Archery across the country by supporting clubs to host shoots from a local to national level. It also aims to support and educate aspiring and experienced bowhunters through national training programmes and impressing a strong code of ethics on its members. To learn more about the ABA click HERE to visit the ABA website.
We have a practice range set out to 50m and multiple field courses set up across the property. If you are a beginner coming out to give archery a try or an experienced bowhunter looking to shoot a round for a bit of practice, everyone is welcome to have a go. For safety reasons club grounds are strictly CLOSED to visitors except on club days, full members may use the range to practice any day it is not in use by the club. Check our Calendar for shoot dates and Come and Try days. Contact us if you would like more details.
Learn and hone your skills on the practice range and then put them to the test on one of our field courses, its a great challenge and a lot of fun.

About Field Archery
Field Archery and Archery in general is a great way to keep active and sport that everyone can enjoy. Archery is a great skill, a great challenge and a lot of fun.
Being an ABA club our field courses are set to follow their competition rules. A course is set on a 3-4km walk through the bush and consists of 20 targets to be shot from designated points at varying unknown distances. Our targets are either ABA vinyl target faces on backstops or 3D foam targets all with marked scoring zones. For a brief overview of the types of field archery and the rules click HERE to visit the ABA website.
